Working as a Purchasing Coordinator at NA-KD means that no two days are the same - and that’s exactly what I love about it. A big part of my day revolves around coordinating samples. I make sure they are handed over to the studio or the online merchandising team so that everything runs smoothly in upcoming productions. I always enjoy sneaking a look at the day’s production setup - it’s incredibly inspiring to see how everything comes together.
I’m also responsible for creating our weekly trend pushes. That means doing trend research, monitoring incoming styles, and curating creative concepts that can later be photographed. On top of that, I help prepare review meetings for upcoming collections by organizing styling suggestions and collecting key information for production. And of course - a classic fika with coffee and a snack is an essential part of the day.

Turning ideas into structure
One thing I truly appreciate about working at NA-KD is the flexibility in how we work. Coming from Germany, I was used to more fixed structures where processes tend to stay the same for a long time. Here, it’s the opposite.
If I see an opportunity to improve a workflow or make something easier, I’m encouraged to bring it up. Together with my manager, we can explore new ideas, test new structures, and adjust along the way. There’s a lot of learning through trial and error, but that’s also the exciting part - being able to continuously improve how we work.
Seeing ideas come to life
One project I’m especially proud of from the past year was being involved in our Pop-Up Store Tour. I was responsible for curating the product assortment, selecting pieces that felt both trend-driven and seasonally relevant for each location.
For the Berlin and Amsterdam pop-ups, I also joined as a brand ambassador. It was incredibly rewarding to see the assortment I helped plan come to life in-store. Meeting our customers, answering questions, and hearing their feedback on the products made the whole experience even more meaningful.
Inspired by people and fashion
What I enjoy most about my job is collaborating with so many different teams. Through my role, I get insights into everything from logistics and creative processes to styling, commercial planning, and financial perspectives. It gives me a very holistic understanding of how the company works.
Fashion itself is also a huge source of inspiration. Walking through the office, I constantly see colleagues styling pieces in unique ways - mixing colors, combining items creatively, and expressing their personal style. Since I work closely with samples and get early insights into upcoming pieces, it’s exciting to see how they can be styled in so many different ways.

A culture driven by curiosity
If I had to describe the culture at NA-KD in three words, it would be fashionable, energetic, and kind. There is always an openness to try new ideas, improve the way we work, and explore different approaches - whether it’s in design, processes, or collaboration. And the best part is that these values aren’t just words. I see them come to life every day in how we work together, support each other, and approach our work with openness and creativity.
