Summer season is coming in strong and for most people – especially in Scandinavia – that means the days are growing longer as the daylight remains – in some parts of Sweden – for 24 hours a day. The Swedish summer is special – the lush green, scenic waterways, and beautiful archipelago have our hearts since forever. Swedish fashion entrepreneur and influencer Moa Mattsson lets us in on some of her favorite local gems during the Swedish summer scenery.
"I absolutely adore the sunny days of Swedish summer! Whenever I visit my mum in the small town of Alingsås, we always go to Dalbogården’s café and enjoy a fresh lunch in their outdoor seated garden. It’s a super cozy place. Another tradition in my family that’s been with us since I was a kid, is to bring a lunch pack, some sun loungers, swimwear, and then head off to Fotö, a beautiful little island located on the west coast. I really enjoy swimming and sunbathing from the cliffs; I always have."
From cozy cafés to the picturesque archipelago, Moa's favorites reflect her love of the many faces of summer in Sweden, the contrasts between vibrant city life and the cozy peaceful rural areas.
"The Stockholm summer scenery is always incredible of course, and I would really recommend trying out the boat rides to visit the archipelago.
From the vibrant streets of Strandvägen, straight out to Fjäderholmarna, Vaxholm, and all the other picturesque parts of the Stockholm archipelago. Recently, I have come to spend a lot of time in the southern parts of Sweden. In Skåne close to Båstad, they have this garden café called Bäckdalen, which I really enjoy visiting.
